Myth Busters This week 3 feb 2021
1. Why TEDBF is slow (1.6 M)?
The standard speed of USA navy aircraft also follows 1.6 M max, only Rafale navy version goes up to 1.8 M and Russian made Su series fly over 2 M, Tedbf uses Canard wing shape, European jets.
Tedbf is made to fly at 1- 1.6 Mach because--
Gone are the days when speed used to be a great feature during a dogfight and escaping after the attack, the current missiles are engaging the targets with 4 M velocity and there is no chance that a faster jet with appropriate maneuverability and no jammers or flares can escape them, so the use of feature speed becomes a disadvantage when it comes to being noticed by a modern-day Radar which senses the infrared signature, more thrust in engine generates more heat signature and makes the jet lesser stealth that could be one of the many reasons that the stealth TEDBF speed is kept in a standard limit.
2. Is Amca a copy of SU-57?
A similar camouflage paint on dressing doesn't make a case of imitation for an army. AMCA uses Wing tail formation like American jets
3. Prima ASR, how deadly could it be?
Procuring from Russia, for India Prima Anti Stealth Buster Radar can detect F35 and F22 raptor from miles away, its performance is immaculate excellence.
4. How Wingman/CATS may help a jet?
As the name suggests 4 wingmen controlled in real-time by a master cockpit/pilot will make the unmanned first-line of defense at reasonable cost excluding man loss on the battlefield.
